Certis Solutions is seeking a Drill Operator for Environmental projects in the state of California residing in the Sacramento metropolitan region. This is a contract assignment for approximately 1-2 months with the possibility of extension and to be considered as a permanent addition to the team.

Pay Range: $24-32/hr, Depending on experience

Must Have Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in onsite investigations.
• High school diploma
• Must be willing and able to travel extensively within the state, including overnight stays.
• Possession of a valid California driver's license, a current DMV printout, and a vehicle for traveling to various sites.
• Physical ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferences

• Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or Earth Science
• Experience with heavy-equipment operations
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training

Top Skills/Responsibilities

• Conducts field sampling such as soil sampling, soil vapor sampling, hand auguring, and groundwater monitoring.
• Assists in operating heavy equipment as part of environmental projects for contracts in CA.
• Excavate subsurface exploratory trenches and assist with the installation and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells.
• Maintain coordination and communication with analytical laboratories and ensure all fieldwork complies with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Engage in additional fieldwork as required by project demands.
