Group Manager – Remediation Engineer/Geologist

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Relocation Assistance Available)
Pay Range: $85,000 – $120,000/year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of environmental professionals delivering site investigation and remediation services
  • Serve as senior technical lead on Phase I/II ESAs, Brownfield redevelopment, RCRA/CERCLA investigations, and remediation design
  • Oversee proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and delivery
  • Mentor staff and support hiring, training, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal quality/safety programs
  • Support client relationships, retention, and business development
  • Manage financial performance, backlog, and resource planning 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of environmental consulting experience, including project and team management
  • Strong technical knowledge of investigation and remediation practices
  • Familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations
  • Professional licensure (PG, PE, CHMM, CPG, etc.) preferred
  • Proven leadership and communication skills

Environmental Project Manager

Certis Solutions is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead and manage environmental projects, including site assessments, investigations, remediation, and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage project teams.

Pay Range: $90-115K, Depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of environmental projects to ensure timely, safe, and budget-compliant completion.
  • Lead environmental site assessments, investigations, and remediation activities while developing effective strategies to address environmental impacts.
  • Work closely with clients to align project execution with their goals, providing regular updates and detailed reports.
  • Assign tasks, coordinate team efforts, and mentor staff to maintain a productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and follow safety plans while ensuring all activities meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Address operational challenges and maintain quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting, project management, or related work.
  • Strong technical knowledge of environmental investigations and remediation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
