Certis Solutions is actively seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with proven expertise in airfield pavement and construction control for a dynamic project at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of airfield pavement experience (10+ years preferred).
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Expertise in earthwork and airfield pavement placement techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute duties following the Black Hills QA plan, completing daily site reports in RMS.
  • Oversee critical inspections and ensure correct materials and methods are used in all airfield subgrade and concrete work.
  • Collaborate with contractors, USACE, and project teams, offering innovative solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Review and ensure strict compliance with contract documents and submittals.
  • Lead QA testing, provide inspection feedback, and participate in weekly contractor meetings.

Work Schedule:

  • November 2024 – March 2025: Part-time (~10-20 hours/week) remote work.
  • March 2025 – November 2025: Full-time on-site work at Ellsworth AFB, SD.
