Civil Engineer (Land Development) – San Ramon

Certis Solutions is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer (Land Development) with the following background:

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Project Management:** Lead and manage land development projects from inception to completion.

2. **Site Analysis and Feasibility Studies:** Conduct site evaluations, feasibility studies, and due diligence investigations.

3. **Design and Planning:** Develop conceptual and detailed design plans for infrastructure and site development including grading, utilities, drainage, and roadways.

4. **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and obtain necessary permits and approvals.

5. **Coordination:** Collaborate effectively with architects, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.

6. **Cost Estimation and Budgeting:** Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects, monitor expenditures, and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.

7. **Quality Control:** Implement quality control measures to ensure design and construction standards are met.

8. **Documentation:** Prepare reports, drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

**Qualifications:**

– Bachelor?s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master?s degree preferred.

– Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

– Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and permitting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Uses AutoCAD and board to produce construction documents using designs of    others.
  • Generates architectural plans and artwork.
  • Make redline corrections to existing construction documents as well as help with scheduling of construction documents. Communicates with drafting staff regarding specifications and corrections to construction documents.
  • Ensure that construction documents are complete and ready for submittal to planning department and design review committee
  • Work directly with Project Managers and Licensed Architect to coordinate and delegate work of selected projects.
  • Provides work direction and delegates work to ensure that the team is completing projects within and/or before deadlines
  • Ensures compliance with applicable codes and standards for construction document production.
  • Coordinate projects with the structural and HVAC consultants.
  • Researches and evaluates data for products.
  • Assesses problems and recommends solutions to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to answer and/or fix any issues pertaining to the scope of the overall project.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Assists in training and developing junior staff.
  • Performs job site visits to review progress of construction, prepares and issues field reports.

  • Proven design abilities
  • AutoCAD & Revit proficiency required; 3-D modeling programs desirable
