Superintendent

Certis Solutions is seeking a hands-on Superintendent to help establish the Heavy Industrial practice of a construction firm in Sacramento, CA. The position involves oversight and development of local teams for heavy industrial and mechanical projects as well as remediation projects for water/wastewater across Northern California. 

The right candidate will ensure projects stay on track while being actively engaged with subcontractors and internal teams to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Oversee all construction activities and supervise onsite crews.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Monitor environmental compliance and health & safety standards.
  • Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Step in on-site as needed to support field execution and problem solving.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in construction and/or environmental remediation. Large scale industrial/commercial demolition a plus. 
  • Strong understanding of hazardous materials and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
  • Willingness to be hands-on/bags-on, especially as the division gets off the ground. 
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (required)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, background check, and physical.

Superintendent

The project involves the full demolition of a an older facility spanning 20 acres, with hazardous materials present (including potential PCBs, oil, and paint contamination).

This is a client-facing role that requires strong leadership and the ability to balance office oversight with field presence. The right candidate will ensure the project stays on track while being actively engaged with subcontractors and internal teams to meet deadlines.

Construction Project Manager

Certis Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in Department of Transportation (DOT) projects. This role involves overseeing public infrastructure projects from bid through completion, ensuring compliance with all applicable state, federal, and labor regulations.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Experience managing DOT construction projects
  • Proven expertise in state/federal bidding processes and contract management

Professional Geologist

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5–15 years of experience in environmental consulting
  • Professional Geologist (PG) or equivalent registration required
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (or 8-hour refresher)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
