Senior Environmental Engineer/Geologist

Certis Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Engineer OR Geologist to join our expert team. If you have 10+ years of experience in engineering or geology (engineering preferred) and ideally 5 of those years with exposure to federal projects, we want to hear from you. Pay Range: $90-110K/year

Must Haves:

  • 5-10 years of experience in engineering or geology, with a preference for engineering.
  • Exposure to Federal projects, ideally, 5 years (consideration will be given to those with less).
  • Expertise in environmental investigation and remediation.
  • Professional licensures in relevant fields are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering and design services for various environmental projects.
  • Conduct environmental investigations and remediation.
  • Perform program and project management duties, ensuring projects meet client expectations and regulatory standards.

Preferences:

  • Experience with designs for Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) treatment systems, hydrocarbon remediation, dual-phase extraction, ozone injection, repository design, soil vapor extraction, air sparge, and municipal water treatment systems.
  • Proficiency in Engineering Evaluation and Cost Analysis (EECAs).

Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Certis Solutions is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant in the Auburn, CA area for approximately 20 hours/week in office.

Pay Range: $18-20/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to engineering and design staff.
  • Completes Data Entry assistance for payroll purposes
  • May support with answering phones.
  • May be asked to work on administrative projects as required by projects.

Requirements:

  • Professional and friendly communication and phone skills
  • Prior experience in a construction or engineering environment preferred
  • Ability to perform basic typing and computer functions
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills

Labor Compliance Specialist

Must Have Qualifications

·        AT LEAST 1 year experience with LCP Tracker, DIR, Elations, knowledge of liens and releases.

·        Bid coordination is a plus but required.

·        Construction Partner software exp is a plus, not required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including prevailing wage rates, overtime regulations, and workplace safety standards.

  

2. Contract Review: Review construction contracts and bid documents to identify labor compliance requirements and obligations.

  

3. Documentation Verification: Verify and audit certified payroll records and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

  

4. Reporting: Prepare and submit timely reports on labor compliance activities, including prevailing wage surveys, compliance audits, and project progress reports.

  

5. Training and Education: Provide guidance and training to project managers, subcontractors, and employees on labor compliance policies, procedures, and best practices.

  

6. Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve labor compliance issues, grievances, and disputes in collaboration with project stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

  

7. Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate records of labor compliance documentation, correspondence, and related communications.

Qualifications:

– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional) may be advantageous.

  

– Experience: Proven experience in labor compliance, preferably within the construction industry. Familiarity with prevailing wage laws and Davis-Bacon Act requirements is desirable.

  

– Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations pertaining to construction projects. Knowledge of payroll procedures and reporting requirements.

  

– Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

  

– Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate compliance requirements clearly and professionally with diverse stakeholders.

  

– Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.

Construction Inspector – Half Moon Bay

Certis Solutions is seeking a Construction Site Inspector for various water and infrastructure projects in CA. Starts August 1st.

Pay Range: $50-60/hr

Must Have Qualifications

         2+ years construction inspection experience

         OSHA 30

         Experience in site inspections/water infrastructure inspections

         Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
