Certis Solutions is seeking a hands-on Superintendent to lead a high-profile $12M demolition and environmental remediation project in the Bay Area. The project involves the full demolition of a an older facility spanning 20 acres, with hazardous materials present (including potential PCBs, oil, and paint contamination).
This is a client-facing role that requires strong leadership and the ability to balance office oversight with field presence. The right candidate will ensure the project stays on track while being actively engaged with subcontractors and internal teams to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage overall project scope, schedule, and budget to closeout before the end of 2025
- Oversee all demolition and remediation activities on a 20-acre site
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure adherence to project specifications
- Monitor environmental compliance and health & safety standards
- Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders in a timely manner
- Step in on-site as needed to support field execution and problem solving
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in demolition, construction, or environmental remediation
- Strong understanding of hazardous materials and demolition best practices
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Willingness to be hands-on and present in the field when needed
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (required)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and physical
