Description

Certis Solutions is actively seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead site operations for an essential federal project in Asheville, NC. This role will focus on the renovation and continuous operation of a potable water treatment plant, ensuring all phases meet USACE standards and project specifications while maintaining 24/7 site activity. The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinate teams, and manage resources to ensure safe, timely, and quality project delivery.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of superintendent experience in construction or industrial settings
  • Previous experience with water treatment plant projects highly preferred
  • Federal/USACE project experience required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction plans, and specifications

Top Skills / Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Field Supervision: Direct all onsite construction activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce EM-385-1-1 and OSHA safety standards, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure all workers comply with federal and project-specific safety protocols.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Oversee daily and weekly schedules, coordinate with project management, and maintain communication with all site personnel to keep project timelines on track.
  • Quality Oversight: Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure all work meets USACE and project quality standards. Perform site inspections, manage job hazard analyses (JHAs), and troubleshoot quality concerns as they arise.
  • Resource Management: Manage site resources, including equipment, materials, and labor, to maintain efficient workflows and avoid downtime.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project logs, provide daily progress reports, and participate in all project meetings to update management and USACE representatives on construction status.
