Description

Certis Solutions is seeking a seasoned Senior Industrial Hygienist/CAC – Project Manager to lead and manage environmental health and safety consulting projects for clients in diverse industries. You will be responsible for overseeing indoor air quality, asbestos, lead, and mold assessment activities, while expanding your expertise into broader areas of Health and Safety compliance. This leadership role provides an exciting opportunity to work directly with clients, manage teams, and ensure project objectives are met effectively.

Pay Range: $85-110K annually DOE

Must-Have Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Environmental Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) certification.
  • CDPH certification for lead-related construction activities (LI/A, LPM, etc.).
  • Strong time management, communication, and business presentation skills.
  • Valid California Class C driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and travel outside the Bay Area as needed for projects.

Top Skills/Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute environmental consulting projects, including indoor air quality assessments, asbestos, lead, and mold inspections, and other health and safety activities.
  • Provide technical review, site analysis, and project oversight, ensuring conformance to standards, specifications, and regulatory codes.
  • Prepare project reports for NESHAP, AHERA, and mold-related assessments, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Lead field inspections, health & safety assessments, chemical surveys, and hazardous materials inventories.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and engineers to provide expert guidance and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Assist with job walks and estimating project scope, timeline, and budget.

Preferences

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene is a plus.
  • Experience with software like Excel, Word, AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with Cal/OSHA, EPA standards, and California Health and Safety Code.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual updates are a plus.
