Our team is expanding, and we’re seeking a passionate Field Supervisor/Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) to lead and shape our projects in California. The role balances fieldwork and office work, offering opportunities for leadership and professional growth while contributing to exciting, impactful projects.

Must Have Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of field supervisory experience in archaeology.
  • Master’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field.
  • Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of certified archaeologist experience in California.
  • First Aid certification.

Top Skills / Key Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct archaeological surveys, testing, excavations, and monitoring across project phases.
  • Identify diverse resource types and lead AB 52 Tribal Consultations and Section 106 Services.
  • Analyze, interpret, and document findings with precision.
  • Author technical reports and present findings to team members and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a senior team member, managing field teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Balance fieldwork (approx. 50%) with office work, which may increase based on writing needs.
