Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with five years of applicable experience or Associate’s degree with related coursework.
  • Familiarity using tools and equipment associated with precast concrete production. 
  • ACI Certification
  • PCI Certification, preferred.
  • Will train and support in the development to become certified in industry-required QC certifications.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently walking, standing, bending, and grasping.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able and willing to travel to various job sites, if needed.
  • Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.

  • Quality Control Oversight:

  • Ensure that all precast concrete products meet or exceed industry standards and specifications.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce quality control procedures and protocols across the production process.

  • Monitor production to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications at every stage of manufacturing.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and maintain compliance with all quality standards.

  • Team Leadership and Training:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the quality control team to ensure efficient operations and high performance.

  • Provide training to staff on quality control techniques, industry standards, and safety procedures.

  • Promote a culture of quality and safety across the production team.

  • Testing and Documentation:

  • Oversee the testing and inspection of materials, processes, and finished products.

  • Review and analyze test results, including compressive strength, mix design, and other relevant tests.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all test results, inspections, and quality control activities.

  • Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in production and quality control procedures.

  • Work closely with the production and engineering teams to implement solutions that enhance quality and efficiency.

  • Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues and develop corrective actions.

  • Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards and regulations related to precast concrete production.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and best practices to ensure that the company remains competitive and compliant.

  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.
