Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree with five years of applicable experience or Associate’s degree with related coursework.
  • Familiarity using tools and equipment associated with precast concrete production, preferred.
  • ACI Certification, preferred.
  • PCI Certification, preferred.
  • Con-Fab will train and support in the development to become certified in industry-required QC certifications.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently walking, standing, bending, and grasping.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able and willing to travel to various job sites, if needed.
  • Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.

Top Skills / Key Job Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the QC Technician.

  • Provide support to the QC Manager.
  • Understand the project plans and related documents regarding Quality Control.
  • Ensure products are manufactured per the project specifications and industry standards.
  • Prepare stressing calculations and verify stressing is done correctly.
  • Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections.
  • Ensure concrete materials, reinforcement, and any supplies for a specific project meet requirements.
  • Create and maintain QC records daily.
  • Drafts and maintains logs, reports, and other documentation of testing procedures.
  • Support manager in training quality control technician.
  • Creates and distributes product defect reports.
  • Verify product loading (accuracy and quality).
  • Verify dunnage is level and spaced correctly and that the pieces are stored plumb.
  • Aggregate testing, casting cylinders, Inspecting casting beds, Trial batches (mix designs), Concrete testing.
  • Breaking cylinders (Occasionally when needed).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings.
  • Help to ensure a safe work environment both in the office and plant.
