Certis Solutions is seeking a qualified PROJECT MANAGER with the following background:

Client specializes in underground wet utility installation, focusing on water, sewer, and storm drain infrastructure projects. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality work, on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest safety standard.

The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of underground wet utility installation projects. This role involves managing schedules, budgets, resources and ensuring safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Execute project scopes, manage budgets and timelines, and develop resource plans. Monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
 
  • Execution & Coordination: Oversee all on-site construction activities related to water, sewer, and storm drain systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
 
  • Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, review and approve expenses, and track cost performance to ensure profitability.
 
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for clients, keeping them informed of project progress and promptly addressing any concerns.
 
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA, Cal OSHA, and other regulatory standards. Conduct safety audits and promote a safe work environment.
 
  • Resource Management: Coordinate labor, equipment, and material needs to maintain project schedules and stay within scope and budget.
 
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Manage subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project goals, quality standards, and safety requirements.
 
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address and resolve issues that may impact project schedules, budgets, or quality.
 
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and clients, including progress reports, resource needs, budget updates, and forecasts.


Qualifications:
 
  • Experience: Over 5 years of project management experience in underground utilities or heavy civil construction.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in underground wet utility installation (water, sewer, storm drain) is preferred.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and the Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of OSHA and Cal OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP or CCM certification is a plus, though not required.
  • Relevant Experience: Experience with public works or municipal projects.
