Certis Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer to provide support for multiple mechanical construction projects, focusing on new construction and unit replacement work, including school facilities. This is a fully in-office position in the El Dorado Hills area. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in commercial HVAC projects and a strong understanding of project scope, schedule, and budget management.
Pay Range: $70,000 – 80,000/year Depending on Experience
Responsibilities:
Support project managers by coordinating and tracking project documentation, schedules, and deliverables.
Assist with the preparation of submittals, RFIs, purchase orders, and project closeout materials.
Monitor project progress and flag potential scope, schedule, or budget issues.
Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Manage administrative aspects for 6 to 8 active projects simultaneously, typically ranging from $50K to $500K in value.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting commercial HVAC construction projects.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical project workflows.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting project plans and specifications.
Ability to support multiple projects at different stages of completion.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and basic project management software tools.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
No degree required.
Preferences:
Experience supporting commercial HVAC projects involving schools or public works.
Prior experience with mechanical contractors or construction firms handling mid-sized projects.
