Description

Certis Solutions is seeking an Project Coordinator to join our industrial water/wastewater program team. This role supports industrial wastewater and drinking water programs. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, sampling, and reporting. 

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial wastewater and drinking water programs.
  • Hands-on experience with water sample collection and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of EPA chemical analytical methods and environmental regulations (federal, California state, and local).
  • Ability to troubleshoot wastewater and drinking water utility infrastructure.
  • Grade 2 Water Distribution Operator certification.
  • Strong technical and communication skills to navigate environmental standards.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs. and assist in fieldwork as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Self-sufficient work style with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for site access.
Top Skills / Key Job Responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, related discipline, or equivalent.
  • Collect and analyze wastewater and drinking water samples.
  • Prepare compliance reports for wastewater facilities and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain and update permit applications in response to evolving regulations.
  • Conduct field investigations and sampling efforts, including stormwater monitoring.
  • Generate summary reports for surface water distribution regulations.
  • Collaborate with mission-critical teams to support environmental compliance efforts.
  • Identify environmental issues and develop corrective action plans.
Preferences
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • GIS proficiency.
  • Experience with soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations.
  • Spanish language proficiency.

Salary range: $70,000 – $135,000/year
