Certis Solutions is actively seeking a skilled Plant Operator/O&M Technician for an essential federal project in Asheville, NC. This role is crucial to the renovation and round-the-clock operation of a potable water treatment plant, ensuring that water quality standards and operational efficiency are continuously maintained in compliance with USACE standards.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a plant operator or O&M technician in water treatment or similar industrial settings
• Familiarity with federal or USACE project requirements
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong technical skills in water treatment operations and maintenance
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting equipment manuals, technical specifications, and safety procedures
• Willingness to work a night shift

Top Skills / Key Job Responsibilities:

• Operation & Monitoring: Operate plant systems, monitor water quality levels, and perform adjustments to maintain compliance with federal and USACE standards.
• Routine Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct scheduled and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs as necessary to ensure continuous operation.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to EM-385-1-1 and OSHA safety standards, ensure proper use of PPE, and participate in regular safety training.
• Water Quality Testing: Perform daily water quality tests, record results, and adjust processes as needed to meet stringent water treatment standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate logs, prepare daily operational reports, and communicate with site management to keep all stakeholders informed of plant status.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly to operational alarms or emergencies, work to resolve issues safely, and maintain all records according to USACE and project requirements.
