Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Valid PE license in CA
• 10+ years of related experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience of teams of 10-15 people approximately.

– Must be able to take design and adequately communicate designs to drafters/designers and produce documents suitable for construction.
– Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Key Job Responsibilities
– Works with HR and President to ensure staffing is sufficient for projects, and setting strategic operational goals.
– Plan, monitor, and run daily operations and engineering activities
– Regularly evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of the Engineering department and provides feedback/coaching to staff (including 2-4 department heads).
– Manages departmental resources
– At times, will lead design efforts in order to mentor younger engineers
– Manage vendors and external partners
