Certis Solutions is seeking a Construction Field Safety Representative to lead safety initiatives by developing and enforcing safety policies, conducting audits and training, and collaborating with project teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations on water/wastewater treatment plant construction projects in the Northern Greater Sacramento region. With a focus on hazard prevention and incident investigation, this position is ideal for a safety professional committed to fostering a safe and compliant work environment.
Pay Range: $80,000 – $100,000/year
Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing the company’s Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and standards.
Conduct safety audits, training sessions, and orientations for all employees.
Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with project teams to address safety concerns and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Perform regular site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
Prepare and maintain documentation, including training records, incident reports, and compliance logs.
Facilitate return-to-work programs for injured employees as needed.
Requirements:
2-4+ years of construction safety experience, ideally in water/wastewater treatment plant construction or similar.
OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR Training
Strong knowledge of Cal OSHA, OSHA, DOT, and other safety regulations.
Valid California Driver’s License.
Preferences:
Certification such as OSHA 510, BCSP or CHST.
OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer certification (OSHA 500).
