Certis Solutions is seeking a Lead Archaeologist based in Baton Rouge. This position plays a key role in leading fieldwork, mentoring junior staff, and supporting research for projects throughout the United States.

Pay Range: $28 – 31.25/hr

Must-Have Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or related field
• SOI-qualified (Secretary of the Interior standards – MA + 1 year of North American field experience)
• Minimum of one year of fieldwork, including crew leadership
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in the field more than half of the time
• Valid driver’s license and U.S. citizenship required

• Lead and support archaeological surveys, monitoring, and testing
• Supervise field crews and mentor staff in field, lab, and office settings
• Conduct research, artifact analysis, and compile data from the field
• Contribute to technical reports and environmental documentation
• Ensure quality and compliance across a variety of project types and regions
