Must Have Qualifications
Technical Qualifications:
Professional Engineer or Geologist license (PE or PG)
Bachelor’s degree in job-related engineering or science field
7+ years of relevant experience
HAZWOPER 40-hour training
Experience with public agencies preferred
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
Computer Savvy (Windows based systems)
Physical Requirements:
Read, write, and speak English
Communicate clearly in person and over telephone
Visual acuity to perform job duties
Able to work outside for 8-hour shift
Physical ability to bend, reach, stand, walk, sit, push, and pull up to 40lbs amounts of weight
Physical ability to hand auger and hand bail a groundwater monitoring well

Technical Duties:
Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
Write and implement Remedial Action Workplans (RAW), Preliminary Endangerment Assessments, and Closure Reports
Groundwater monitoring well and soil vapor well installation and sampling
Soil vapor extraction system design, installation, and O&M
Indoor air quality and vapor intrusion studies
Complete boring logs and well completion reports
Help on geotechnical projects as needed
Historical and analytical project research
Data gathering, organization, analysis, and results evaluation
Writing technical reports and other written communications
Knowledge of industry standards
Essential Duties:
Manage and complete project tasks while following deadlines and budgets
Communication with clients, team members, and contractors
Procure relevant work by creating and maintaining client relationships
Understanding project scopes and Blackburn’s services
Identify and resolve project issues, including changes to scope
Coordinate with multiple parties to complete work
Cost estimation based on time, expenses, and equipment need to complete job
