Certis Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer or Geologist in the San Bernardino area. This is an opportunity to work with a reputable company, gain additional mentorship and field experience, and take on more project management responsibilities as your career grows. This position is a contract role for the next 5-6 months or more. 

Pay Range: $35-48/hr DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Field work including soil, soil vapor and groundwater sampling and construction observation of mining sites across the San Bernardino area
• AutoCAD Drawings and GIS Mapping
• Geologic / hydrogeologic / engineering data analysis and interpretation
• Preparation of technical reports

Skills / Qualifications

• BS in Civil / Environmental and/or Civil Engineering or Geology from ABET accredited university. MS appreciated, but not required.
• Engineer/Geologist in Training Certification (EIT/GIT) preferred, with goal to obtain PE/PG
• 4-6+ years of related work experience 
• Exposure to federal work such as CERCLA site investigation, design, construction, operation, and monitoring of remediation equipment and systems
• Strong analytical, organization and communication skills
• Strong technical writing skills are a must
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• Self-starter and motivated to do high quality work
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Willing to travel locally and out of the area as necessary
• Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
• 40-hour HAZWOPPER training certification, preferred
