Must Have Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a superintendent on commercial remodel projects.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of construction safety protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Physical ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing ladders and operating lifts.

Top Skills / Key Responsibilities

  • Day Superintendent: Oversees the daily schedule, coordinates with store management to ensure smooth project progression, manages on-site safety and compliance, and liaises with inspectors for ongoing compliance.
  • Night Superintendent: Supervises subcontractors, maintains quality control, enforces safety standards, and ensures a clean and safe work area each morning for store re-opening.
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Manage subcontractors to ensure quality and adherence to project timelines.
    • Regularly inspect site work and materials to ensure compliance with project specs.
    • Conduct weekly on-site safety meetings.
    • Complete daily logs and documentation, and assist Project Manager with project finances.
    • Handle project close-out, including final inspections, certifications, and documentation.

Preferences

  • Experience in wood framing for retail environments.
  • Familiarity with building systems (MEP, architectural).
  • Additional certifications in safety or construction management are beneficial.
