Must Have Qualifications

– B.S in Geography, Planning, Environmental or Social Science, Computer Science, or related field.

– Minimum of 7 years of experience in GIS development, programming, server administration, or geospatial analysis.

– Knowledge of Representational State Transfer (REST) endpoint web service protocols and libraries.

Top Skills / Key Job Responsibilities

– Collaborates with subject matter experts to coordinate data integration requirements with the Environmental Mitigation Management Application (EMMA) and administers content contained within the Environmental Services geospatial web viewer application.

– Build models to process data utilizing scripting techniques (e.g. Python, ModelBuilder) in order to perform complex spatial analysis and/or automate workflows.

– Create, edit, review, and maintain Program geostatistical assets and metadata. Performs data reconciliation and validation on large GIS datasets from multiple sources and complies with Program GIS standards and specifications.

– Update, organize, optimize, and maintain GIS web viewer application content for various disciplines

– Prepare spatial statistics, conduct spatial analyses, and provide detailed cartographic output for use in meetings, reports, and the Land Use Master Plan.

– Maintain expertise in existing and emerging GIS-related software and technologies and evaluate their application to improve the Authority’s programs
