Heavy Civil Project Manager/Estimator

Certis Solutions is seeking a qualified Project Manager and/or Estimator with the following background:

Must Have Qualifications

·        BS, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent Project related experience

·        Must have 5 years of progressive PM experience including direct supervisory experience

·        Federal and estimating experience a plus

·        Hard working, willing to work long hours during the construction/field season

·        Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project.

·        Assist with estimating and proposals of assigned bid opportunities with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, production rates, subcontractors and overall project approach.

·        Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.

·        Responsible for development of basic project schedules.

·        Responsible for all project cost administration processes to include; completing/reviewing project budget, weekly receiving reports, cost reports and providing monthly cost and revenue forecasts.

·        Responsible for insuring accurate production reporting and interfacing with client representatives and responsible for administration of all subcontractors.

Quality Control Manager

Certis Solutions is seeking a Quality Control Manager for a US Army Corps of Engineers project at an Air Force base in the Sacramento Area. This person will be responsible for overall management of CQC. This position will report directly to the Project Manager. Project is 9 months in duration, with the potential for follow-on work.

Must Have Qualifications

·       5+ years heavy civil experience, paving experience a plus

·       Must have USACE project experience

·       Excellent RMS skills (3.0)

·       USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors 

·       College degree

Must Have Qualifications

·        8+ Years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/equipment, marine construction, or shop environment.

·        Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.), diagnostics, and troubling shooting diesel engines.

·       Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

·       Must be willing to travel, as needed, to project sites to fix equipment

·       Willing to work long hours (6 days per week, 10-12 hours per day)
