Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist (Long Term)

Certis Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to join our Sacramento, CA office and become an integral member of our team.

Pay Range: $35-48/hr DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Field work including soil, soil vapor and groundwater sampling and construction observation for site investigations and environmental remediation projects at mining sites.
  • Hands-on operating and maintenance of remediation systems as needed. 
  • Inventory of mining sites for future remediation projects.
  • AutoCAD Drawings and GIS Mapping
  • Geologic / hydrogeologic / engineering data analysis and interpretation
  • Preparation of technical reports

Skills / Qualifications

  • BS / MS in Civil / Environmental and/or Civil Engineering or Geology from ABET accredited university
  • Engineer/Geologist in Training Certification (EIT/GIT) preferred, with goal to obtain PE/PG
  • Upper mid-level (5+ years experience preferred, will consider with less) with environmental site investigation and remediation experience
  • Strong analytical, organization and communication skills
  • Strong technical writing skills are a must
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Self-starter and motivated to do high quality work
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Willing to travel locally and out of the area as necessary
  • Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
  • 40 hour HAZWOPPER training, preferred

Archaeologist (Levee Project)

Part Time Courier (Evening Shift)

Certis Solutions is seeking a part-time Courier for evening shifts (3 PM – 9 PM) to assist with environmental sample pickups and deliveries. This is a direct-start position—no interview needed!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive to the San Bernardino office to pick up samples, label them, and store them properly.
  • This role is needed 3-4 times per month, primarily during the winter when evening sampling increases.

Qualifications:

  • Clean driving record (MVR) required.
  • Willingness to work part-time and in weather-dependent conditions.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Compensation:

  • Pay Range: $18-20/hr
  • Company vehicle: Provided for use during shifts (to be returned to the office overnight).
